As one half of the foundational Crosstown Rebels label throughout the 00s, UK-born Matthew Stylespaved the way for artists like Minilogue, Seth Troxler, Pierre Bucci and many others, helping shape the sound of today’s international festival circuit. Matthew’s a dab hand at making things happen in the studio too, turning out oddball discotech locomotives on labels like Running Back, Horizontal, and Ostgut Ton, to name a couple, finding the sweet spot all of his own between spooky synths, dubby effects and infectious drum breaks. But it’s as a DJ that Matthew really comes into his own, following in his father’s footsteps and inciting dancers to wild abandon with appearances behind the decks all over the world.
