Synth-heavy house, deep electro and abstract atmospheres delivered by one of Paris’ finest: Alexkid

The formative years of the early 90s Paris club scene shaped Alexkid’s ears and attitude towards house and techno, and open-minded music lovers can be very glad they did. From his first EP of levitational drum‘n’bass on Laurent Garnier’s F-Com imprint, to dubby techno, deep electro and surreal house, Alexkid traverses all kinds of jazzy pathways and afro-cuban cow bells within the electronic landscape. Not afraid to throw down a synth solo or two, he constructs music that is designed to stick around for a while, as opposed to just contributing to the “sea of useless music”. Alexkid can’t help but bring the heat of the moment, that sense of improvisation, and even on a stripped-back heavy-duty bruiser like Shesgottoleave, the track wouldn’t be complete without some of Alex’s trademark dark chords to set it off. Unless there’s a new toy in the studio, this kid don’t play.
